Legal
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This policy explains what personal information Sec-Llama Academy collects, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it plain — no legal jargon where we can avoid it.
1. Who We Are
Sec-Llama Academy is operated by Sec-Llama S.A.C., a company registered in Peru. Our website is academy.sec-llama.com. Contact: michael@sec-llama.com
2. What We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Your name, email address, and WhatsApp/phone number when you register for a webinar
- Your professional background (optional, from the webinar registration form)
- Your name, email, and payment details when you enroll in the course (payment handled by PayPal)
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited — collected via the Meta Pixel (Facebook tracking technology)
- Whether you completed certain actions on the site (e.g., submitted the registration form)
3. Why We Collect It
- To deliver the webinar: We send you the meeting link and any relevant reminders to the email you provided
- WhatsApp communications: By providing your phone number, you consent to being added to our Sec-Llama Academy WhatsApp group and/or community. We use this channel to send webinar reminders, schedule updates, course news, and relevant announcements. You can leave the WhatsApp group at any time. This does not constitute a condition of purchase.
- To administer the course: We use your enrollment details to manage your place in the cohort and communicate course logistics
- To run advertising: The Meta Pixel allows us to show targeted ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who visited this site, and to measure how well our ads perform
- To improve our site: We may analyze aggregate, anonymized usage data to improve user experience
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell your data to anyone. We share it only with the services required to operate:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): The Meta Pixel sends browsing data to Meta to enable ad targeting and conversion tracking. Meta’s privacy policy governs how they handle this data. You can manage your Facebook ad preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences.
- Netlify: Our website forms are processed by Netlify, which stores form submissions securely. Netlify’s privacy policy applies to that data.
- WhatsApp (Meta): Your phone number may be used to add you to a WhatsApp group or community operated by Sec-Llama Academy. WhatsApp is owned by Meta and its privacy policy governs communications on that platform. You can leave the group at any time by using WhatsApp’s built-in leave function.
- PayPal: Payment transactions are processed by PayPal. PayPal’s privacy policy governs all payment data — we do not store your card or bank details.
- Google Meet: Live sessions are conducted on Google Meet. Google’s privacy policy applies to your use of their platform during sessions.
5. Cookies
We use cookies placed by the Meta Pixel. These are small files stored in your browser that allow Meta to recognize you across visits and deliver relevant ads.
To opt out of Meta cookie-based tracking: visit Facebook Ad Preferences and adjust your settings. You can also use your browser settings to block all cookies, though this may affect your experience on other websites.
6. Data Retention
- Webinar registrations are retained for up to 2 years for follow-up communications
- Enrollment and payment records are retained for as long as required by applicable tax and business laws
- You may request deletion at any time (see Section 7)
7. Your Rights
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of your data (we do not sell data). To exercise these rights, email us at michael@sec-llama.com.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR): You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us. We will respond within 30 days.
Any person may request deletion of their information at any time by emailing michael@sec-llama.com with subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
8. Children
Our services are intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
